Excerpt from page 6 feature – 'Cooroy is a step further to being the regions most sophisticated IT hub after council was presented with  a proposed route for a fibre optic cable. The network part of the Clever Noosa Networks strategy will serve Cooroy's new library, Carpenter's Lane, and the Nandroya industrial development. The business community in Cooroy will be consulted to gauge any potential interest for uptake of the service at a future date. The manager of economic strategies and innovations Fiona Wilson said,  "the Clever Network partnerships had brought telecommunications infrastructure for the area that was years ahead of its time and will help lure other innovative businesses to an area they might otherwise not have considered. (With) this type of partnership and the federal government grant we will be able to support activity that has high need for broadband infrastructure"
